Join LFIC
Choosing a school is an important decision.
We are fully aware that you are entrusting us with matter the most in your life: your children.
Our admissions process is designed to help families understand LFIC but also to help us understand each child, so that we can establish whether our educational environment is the right fit.
We welcome new admission anytime during the year.
French nationality is not required.
French fluency is not required for admission.
Our Admissions Process
1. Initial conversation
We begin with a conversation with the family. We will ask about your child's previous schooling, languages, educational background and any particular considerations that may be relevant to their transition.
This is an opportunity for you to understand LFIC and for us to understand what your child needs.
2. Meeting and school visit
Depending on the child's age and background, we may invite you and your child to meet the admissions team, the Director or members of the teaching team.
A visit to the school can also be arranged so that you can see the learning environment and meet the people who will be supporting your child.
3. Assessment where appropriate
Admission is not based on entrance examination.
For children joining from another educational system, we may use age-appropriate observations, conversations or assessments to understand their academic and language level.
For students aged 8 and above who are new to French, particular attention is given to their ability to enter a bilingual learning environment while maintaining progress across subjects. The purpose is to determine the appropriate level of language support and, where useful, personalised learning support.
4. Admission decision and enrolment
Once the school and family have agreed that LFIC is an appropriate educational setting for the child, we will provide the enrolment documentation, school regulations, medical forms and financial information required to complete the admission process.
Admission is confirmed once the applicable fees have been paid in accordance with the school's financial regulations.
Admissions Documents
Families will be asked to provide the documents required for enrolment, which may include:
-
Transfer certificate or equivalent document from the previous school
-
Passport copies and visas, where applicable
-
Aadhaar card, where available
-
Identification photographs
-
Relevant educational or learning-support documentation from the previous school
-
Additional documents may be requested depending on the child's situation.
